It’s New Year’s Eve! What are your plans for tonight? My city is in lockdown again, so I’ll likely have a nice quiet evening reading and playing video games. This year was absolutely nuts and so much has changed for me (both for the better and for worse), so I’m very much hoping 2021 will see everything return to normal!
Since the new year starts tomorrow, I thought I’d share some upcoming books that I’m excited for:
A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J Maas (February 16, 2021)
After Crescent City last year, I’m so excited to read what Sarah J Maas comes out with next! My friend and I are die-hard ACOTAR fans and were lucky enough to score tickets to the Canadian book tour along with special edition tour copies! It’s going to be the best birthday ever!
Down Comes the Night by Allison Saft (March 2, 2021)
I know, I know. I’ve already read this one. This is how much I love this book! I’m dying to get my hands on the finished copy and am really hoping for some special editions to pop up! I’ll be hosting a giveaway for a pre-order of DCTN early in the new year, so be sure you’re following my Instagram!
Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo (March 30, 2021)
It’s no secret that I love Leigh Bardugo’s writing, so obviously Rule of Wolves is high on my list of books I’m excited for! Fingers crossed Illumicrate is able to do a matching edition to their stunning edition of King of Scars!
Blessed Monsters by Emily A Duncan (April 6, 2021)
The final book in the Something Dark and Holy trilogy! I loved Ruthless Gods (even though I was pretty grossed out about all the eyes) and am really looking forward to seeing how it finishes. I managed to snag one of Faecrates mini hangover kits for Blessed Monsters and can’t wait to receive it in April!
The Crown of Guilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout (April 20, 2021)
One of my bookstagram friends got me into the Blood and Ash series and my god I can’t wait to read The Crown of Guilded Bones!
Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff (September 16, 2021)
I’ve been on a vampire binge for a while and have been so hyped for Empire of the Vampire after watching Jay’s Q&As! So hyped that Thor did a cosplay of Jay Kristoff in a (failed) attempt to get an ARC. I anticipate this will be another book that I have multiple editions of.
Check it out on Goodreads. Be sure to check out Jay’s GIF review of EotV!
Aurora Cycle #3 by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (Title and release date TBD)
I’m still screaming in my head from the ending of Aurora Burning and need the third book ASAP! The wait for the cover and release date has been killing me and I’ve been checking social every day for more info from the authors.
Are there books you think I’m missing? What are some of your most anticipated books?
