It’s been a couple months since I’ve received this box, but it still remains one of my all time favourite boxes of 2020! October’s theme was Life & Death and featured one of my most anticipated books of 2020, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue (of which I currently have 4 gorgeous editions)! The signed Illumicrate edition of Addie LaRue was absolutely stunning, with an exclusive silver and black cover, silver sprayed edges, and embossing on the hardcover. How beautiful is it?
Aside from one other item the box was fandom neutral with the rest of the items fitting the ‘Life & Death’ theme perfectly. The first item below made me gasp audibly. It’s a 3D print in an acrylic frame based off a scene in Addie LaRue by my all time favourite artist, Rosiethorns88. You can view the full print here. There was also a matching Addie pin by Stacey McEvoy-Caunt. Also included were wood tarot cards inspired by Hades and Persephone with artwork by the talented Elitien. You can view the art on their Instagram page here.
Also included was a tin that I immeditately put my bookmark collection in. The front side features a skeleton embroidery by Crimson Pins (who I’m dying to get an original embroidery from) and the other side was designed by Chatty Nora. There was also a room spray by A Wild Tale that reminds me of my trip to the International Rose Test Garden in Portland, Oregon and a sun and moon pin set by November and May.
