Happy Friday! Today I’m excited to share with you my unboxing for Fairyloot’s July 2021 box: Tales Retold. This month’s featured book was Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim. This was a book that I was pretty conflicted about since I couldn’t decide whether I liked the US or the UK covers more. I (obviously) wound up going with Fairyloot’s UK edition AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT. The Fairyloot edition has an exclusive cover with pastel pink colours, stencil/sprayed edges, artwork under the dust jacket and foil embossing on the hardcover both by Sally Pham. This edition is stunning and I can’t wait to see how it looks with the Fairyloot Blood of Stars set!
Items featured in this month’s box include:
-A gorgeous author letter that doubled as a print, featuring artwork by Sally Pham
-Tarot cards featuring characters from Caraval by Salome Totladze
-A gorgeous book sleeve featuring Spin The Dawn-inspired artwork by Rosiethorns88 that was put to work instantly
– A tea tin inspired by A Court of Thorns and Roses designed by Chatty Nora (also put to use so quickly that I forgot to include it in my unboxing photo)
-An umbrella inspired by Heartless
-Comfy socks inspired by Cinderella is Dead designed by Catarina Book Designs
-A foiled print with artwork by @kavon_kayleigh featuring character art from The Star-Touched Queen series.
Overall I loved how useful a lot of the items were and I’m obsessed with how stunning the book is! I’m so pleased with Fairyloot’s customer service team as well! My book arrived damaged and they ordered a replacement so quickly! Thank you Fairyloot!
