Fairyloot July 2021 unboxing

Happy Friday! Today I'm excited to share with you my unboxing for Fairyloot's July 2021 box: Tales Retold. This month's featured book was Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim. This was a book that I was pretty conflicted about since I couldn't decide whether I liked the US or the UK covers more. I (obviously) … Continue reading Fairyloot July 2021 unboxing

June Illumicrate unboxing

Despite there being lots of delays to this box (that were not in any way Illumicrate's fault!), the June Out of the Woods box has to be one of my favourites! I read this month's book earlier (you can read my review here) and could NOT wait to see what Illumicrate was going to do … Continue reading June Illumicrate unboxing

Kingdom of the Wicked review

5/5 stars CW: gore, murder, death of a family member. It has been a while since I stayed up super late to read a book, but here I am with bags under my eyes and a giant cup of tea after two late nights! Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco had been on my … Continue reading Kingdom of the Wicked review

Faecrate December 2020 Unboxing

February was a moving month for me and I'm so happy to finally be settled in and have time to catch up on my tbr and book mail! One box that I was so excited to open was Faecrate's December 2020 box, which shipped late due to the pandemic holding up items. December's book was … Continue reading Faecrate December 2020 Unboxing

Illumicrate Archives: The Poppy War unboxing

I'm bad for impulse buys and there are some special edition boxes I wind up regretting. Illumicrate's Poppy War set however, is one where I've been thanking Past-Isabel constantly after it arrived a few weeks ago. This series is high on my TBR and I'm really hoping to start reading it over the holidays! The … Continue reading Illumicrate Archives: The Poppy War unboxing

Owlcrate November 2020 Unboxing

I am SO in love with this box you have no idea! November's Owlcrate theme is Growing Wild and if you've been following my Instagram, you might have noticed I'm a little bit of a crazy plant lady, so this box is right up my alley! Fairyloot September 2020 Unboxing

Is it just me, or has Fairyloot been killing it with their box themes this fall? Literally every single box announcement has me so excited and this one was no exception! September's theme was Under the Sea and every item fit so perfectly with the book of the month, Fable by Adrienne Young. I already … Continue reading Fairyloot September 2020 Unboxing

One of my most anticipated books just came in the mail today! It's so hard not to drop what im doing to start reading House of Sky and Breath! 🤩
Happy Valentine's Day from Thor and I! What is something that made you smile recently?
Hello friends! I've been gone again but now that things are starting to go back to normal, I wanted to give a small update and hopefully start posting and chatting books with you guys regularly again!
Happy Sunday everyone! It's been a while and Thor and I have missed posting here. Between work, Christmas prep, and managing my plants and Thor, I had decided to take a little break from bookstagram. Thor is doing ok! He's starting to show his age more and I'm noticing small things here and there like he struggles sometimes to hop up onto the bed or the couch or even do stairs, so we're taking things easy for him and helping him out where we can.
THE FUZZIEST LITTLE KING! 👑 @bookshelvesandbunnies tagged me over the summer to do the #bookstapetthrone challenge and I finally built Thor a little throne! I think I'll need to try it again later and make it even bigger. Thoughts?
Happy Friday! Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?
#TGIF! What are your plans for the weekend? I'm starting a new book tonight and hopefully attempting to make my first stained glass piece!
What's a book that you didn't expect to like, but wound up loving? For me that was All Of Us Villains by Amanda Foody and Christine Lynn Herman. Told from four POVs, All Of Us Villains follows competitors in a small town's deadly competition for high magick and power. Think Hunger Games but with magic and more violence. A full review can be found on my blog if you're interested (link in bio). Thank you so much to @raincoastbooks for sending me an ARC! 💕
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I'm still trying to decode what Thor will dress as tonight, but for now, he is Yoda. Who else is dressing up? 🎃
